Healthy, Random Things - 6-10

We are getting down to the final round of healthy but random things worth mentioning:

10. Lift hand weights every other day.  Five to ten pound weights are good and you can even buy strapped weights to put around your ankles if you want.

9. Don’t forget to monitor your blood pressure and heart rate at least once per week and put it down in an Excel spreadsheet for reference.

8. Other health screenings include an annual mammogram and if you are over fifty, the one I have been dreading, the colonoscopy.

 7.  Wearing a pedometer is a motivational tool that works for many people and gets them to get up and beat their own mileage.  Try it.

6. Keep in touch.  Call your friends and family regularly and stay connected.  This will help you get through tough times, lonliness and depression.  The last five on my list are coming tomorrow.

Stay tuned. Health Mysteries are solved by Ms. Therese.

Great tips. I lift 7 pound hand weights each day and I love it. I’ve tried other forms of exercise but weights and walking are the only things I enjoy. Thanks.

All good suggestions. I wear a pedometer often.
