When things get tough and you are all stressed out, you can forget to do normal everyday activities, like drinking plenty of water.  After the shock wore off from my recent loss of my Dad and I kicked it into high gear to get everything done quickly, I started to feel weak, tired and washed out.

I realized that I had not been drinking much of anything besides a couple of cups of coffee and an occasional soda for several days running.  I made myself down several glasses of water to avoid dehydration.

Not taking in enough fluids, even for a period of only a few days can make you feel lousy, even without all the stress-bearing activities of mourning.  Try to stay away from using soda as your mainstay for fluids.  Water is best, while green tea is an alternative that adds some antioxidant punch to your day.

I like a little lemon juice and a couple of ice cubes in my water, but lime is a good change of pace.  Give it a try and get all the water you need.
