I went out and bought about a boatload of my cleaning product-of-choice, Windex and a case of paper towels and now I am well on my way to washing some windows that have not seen the full light of day in many a year.

Sometimes you look through the same streaky, dirt-flecked window for years on end and don’t see the dirt anymore.  But if you take a closer look, there are layers of sooty particles just begging for some old-fashioned elbow grease.

Spring cleaning is not my favorite activity by any means this season, but at least it’s a start.  It means that the better sunshine is coming and I can get a bit of exercise by cleaning some of my many piles of stuff.  I feel like that guy in the Greek Wedding movie who uses Windex as a topical anecdote for anything that ails you, but it is amazing how many things can be cleaned with Windex.

So grab a rag and join me for a good old time.  I’ll get the windows while you scrub the tub.
