Health Tips for a Thursday
Even though it is a rainy week, try to get outside and enjoy the few minutes here and there of warm sunshine. Here are a few thoughts on being well and increasing your fitness that I hope you will think about implementing.
- Add a new vegetable to your life. If you have never tried parnips, pull out your cookbook and see what you can come up with for a recipe.
- Call an old friend who you has been sick. People tend to avoid those who have cancer or chronic illness because they don’t know what to do or say. Even a phone call will be appreciated. Better yet, stop in and bring a casserole. You will feel good about yourself.
- Take a long, hot bath. Dig out some scented candles and moisturizing bath oils and use them. If you haven’t tried this in a while, get ready for sumptuous relaxation that’s almost as good as a massage.
- Start your garden planning even if you can’t get out in the rain to dig or rake. Jot down some notes on areas of focus and make a list of things to pick up at the garden store.
- Sign up for that class you have been meaning to take. Yoga, Tai Chi or just scrapbooking. Whatever you love to do and want to learn more about, do it today.
