For those of you who have been healthy all your lives, you really are the lucky ones.  The purest form of happiness is well within your grasp.  Keep your health as long as you can by eating right and exercising.

For the rest of us, though we deal with challenges day-to-day, these challenges need not sap our lifeblood or curtail our good spirits.  Attitude, as I have said in the past, is everything.  If you want to live a vital and full life, you can do so, regardless of your physical challenges.

I have reached a point where I am happy to be me.  I have a wonderful family, loving and devoted friends and a great life that I enjoy to the fullest.  I am the epitome of the happy person.

So have a great week and a great attitude.  You deserve it.

Health and Your Hair

Beautiful hair is no accident.  The condition and appearance of your hair gives clues about the state of your overall health.  A good doctor can detect severe dietary deficiencies just by looking at a patient with lackluster, dull hair.

Read more about how to keep your hair in good condition with using the right products for you as well as minimizing damage, washing and brushing.  The real key to great hair is a healthy, varied diet and sufficient fluid intake of water or other non-alcoholic juice or green tea.

If you want to look like the models on tv commercials, with gorgeous shiny hair, just like them, you may have to use photoshop or other tricks of photography.  But if you want healthy, vibrant hair, read my article for the details.

Health is a State of Mind

I have decided to have a really healthy summer.  I am going to get some good exercise, lose some weight and feel good.  It is funny how the people that have problems with health, appreciate the good periods of health they get to experience.

Don’t wait until you get sick to appreciate the fact that you are not.  Take advantage of the opportunities you have to exercise and enjoy your life.  Eat well, limit alcohol and bad habits and breathe like you really mean it… deeply and with gusto.

I wish you and your family a wonderful, healthy and active summer.  Enjoy the time you have to the fullest.  Go off you a wonderful place for vacation and take in the beauty of the scenery and the wildlife.  I know I will.

I would like to stay and write some more, but the beautiful moonlight on the lake is calling to me.  I saw a fox as I was driving to the cottage last night and just missed a frog who was hopping across the road.  Ahhh.  Summer.  Drink it in.

Vacation Health and Safety

IF YOU LOVE THIS BLOG, SEE MY OTHER BLOG CAREERMYSTERIES.TODAY.COM.  DO IT TODAY! Here we go again, off to Vacationland - the good old state of Maine.  Aya.  I love it there.  The people are so laid back and funky.  The trees are a little taller and much fuller and you can really breathe.  The weather looks crappy but the fish will be biting for sure.

When you head out to your vacation nirvana this summer.  Keep one thing at the very top of your list - safety.  That means you need to prepare for contingencies like asking yourself these questions.

  • Where is the nearest hospital and how do we get there (if you are GPS-less)?
  • Do I have a first aid kit or at least bandages and disinfectant?
  • Did I bring life jackets for the boat, canoe or kayaks?
  • Do I have plenty of sunscreen and a hat for each person?
  • Do I have all my medication and a back up supply?
  • Who in our group is CPR and First Aid trained?
  • Do I have the clothes I need for any weather issues?
  • Do I have bug spray and repellent?
  • Do I need an Epi pen for sting allergies?
  • Do I need any Personal Protective Equipment for sports or hiking?

This may seem like a lot to think about but it really is easy stuff once you get the supplies the first time you go into the woods or out in the elements.  Have a terrific time and enjoy every relaxing moment of your vacation.  I know I will.
