Fade to Fall
Summer is slowly fading into the distance as I write these words. The second exhibition football games are on tv tonight and the trees are already starting to have a sparsity of leaves that I didn’t notice a couple of weeks ago. I have a cherry tree that is turning a bit yellow on some leaves and my grass has slowed the frantic growth of mid-July. Another year has come and will be gone in a few months. I hope it has been and continues to be productive.
I have had a year chock full of death. Sadness has gripped me three times over from March until now and I see things in a more retrospective light. I vow to make each and every day an exciting adventure and to do nice things for others as often as I can, including writing this blog.
Enjoy the last vestiges of a ripe harvest and prepare for the winter to come. Enjoy your family and invite your friends over to celebrate the start of the fall season. I am looking forward to the autumn, my favorite time of the year. Be well.
